Children of all ages love our model trains.  Yearly we add cars, engines, and scenery.

Tour the many railroad artifacts from days past, when steam was king.  You can enjoy watching the excitement of trains going around the scenic layout. Fun for the whole family.

The depot is located on the north side of Heritage Park.

Hope to see you there!

According to the Texas State Travel guide, Edgewood began because of a dispute between Canton and Wills Point over location of the Van Zandt County seat, Canton citizens wanted a shipping point other than Wills Point.  They built a nine-mile road to a siding on the T & P Railroad in 1878 and Edgewood was born there.  In 1890 a group from Mississippi chose the town in which to settle and by 1915 the population had grown to 850.
Trains fascinate most children and we have many different types. Not only do have the Union Pacific Caboose, but during the festival we have a fun train for chidren of all ages to ride.
